Bare Skin For The Long Weekend
An interesting bunch of pics making the rounds which apparently started out from a London Daily Mail article. Angelina Jolie who seems to be addicted to tattoos is now sporting a set of coordinates of the birthplaces of her children on her arm. (Thanks GPS Lodge and others)
It’s kind of interesting how many writers call these the GPS coordinates of countries. Seems a little strange that people think one set of latitude and longitude references can define an entire country … but again, that’s what happens when schools fail to teach the simple facts about the most important place in any of our lives … our home, spaceship Earth. It’s ok though, you can make money and never know where you live. If ignorance is bliss we have one heck of a lot of happy people in this world.
In case you’d like to know where these coordinates really are, here’s a map (click on the map to
see in full) … strange that some writers took up whole paragraphs writing out the descriptions when a map would tell it all and tell it quickly. Some day … naw, I always have been a dreamer. Notice that Ms. Jolie is certainly very partial to the Eastern Longitudes.
I wish all my readers an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. May the future, someday, allow us to look at maps that have no war, nothing more than the birthplace of one’s children or the places where we’ve had happy memories.
