Free GPS-style devices can help to locate lost seniors
A nice article to begin our end of year wrap up. All year long we’ve been listening to the issues regarding privacy and GPS, using GPS to track criminals, using GPS to drive business profits and all sorts of necessary but not necessary personal and people-related GPS subjects.
Here’s a county, though, who is looking after their people first. One terrifying prospect that faces all of us, rich or poor, young or old is the prospect of a loved one contracting Alzheimer’s and the prospect of trying to help them live out their lives in safety and dignity (while maintaining our own sanity and relationships).
I think this is one of the coolest uses for GPS tracking I’ve seen all year. in fact I’m so enthused by it I’ve already taken steps to get some practical, low cost examples and start offering them for concerned relatives and caregivers as soon as possible.
Give me a shout at 1-800-306-1206 or dave@satviz.com if you want to discuss this either as a potential user or potential supplier.
There’s lot’s more I’d like to blog about but there are some smart people taking advantage of year end closeout time so I have to go do some business right now.
Happy New Year to All
Dave
